Office Organization

I guess the wedding being over was a bigger let down than I maybe expected because now I've moved onto fixing up the house. And, if you know me, I can never have just one project going on, I have to have about 5 at once!

So, not only am I slowly redecorating our living room, I'm also redoing our office which serves as Kevin's closet and our guest room (and lately our junk room that we shut the door on whenever we have guests over!). The space really hasn't functioned well since we moved in almost two years ago and now I am determined to change all of that!

I made a good dent last weekend after a trip to IKEA, but there is still much to be done. So, in the meantime, I'm looking at pretty offices for inspiration.

And my favorite of them all:

Ahhhh, organized bliss here we come!!!!

Interior Texture

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! What did you all do for the holiday? We had a nice dinner out with a few friends and then I Friday I cooked an awesome turkey roast with all the fixings. It all turned out pretty awesome if I do say so myself!

In the last year I haven't had a lot of time to focus on interiors, but that doesn't mean I haven't been looking and loving and drooling! I've got many more wedding planning tips coming up soon, but for today, here's a little taste of some beautiful spaces that I'm loving.

Can't wait to have a cute little girl to create a totally chic bedroom for!
I'm in love with every detail of this room. Not a thing I would change.
One word: TEXTURE! I want a brick wall!
I'm pretty sure any pup would be envious of this super-hip dog bed.
Asian-inspired details in an all white bathroom feels so serene.
Don't know about you, but I want a stenciled floor! Holy cow, so cute!
L-O-V-E. Enough said.

Where We Work

Been a little under the weather and busy to boot so I haven't had a chance to post in a whole week! But I have been looking at offices because I need to rework our bookshelves and found these pretty little work places.

Dream Baths

I so look forward to the day when I can have a great big soaking tub in the middle of a beautiful bathroom. For now though, I'll just keep dreaming...

Doors

They say you can find inspiration anywhere, so why not in a door!

Better in Black

I'm working on a black and white design for my photographer friend's boudoir bedroom and in doing some research on black and white designs, I came to an inspiring realization...walls are better in black! Okay, maybe not actually "better", but definitely gorgeous and not something to be afraid of.

I am so excited to put together a black and white design after looking at these amazing spaces.

What do you think...are you ready to go black!

Inspiring Interiors

I didn't have much time to work on my blog posts this weekend because I was busy spending some quality time with Kevin and working on one of my friend's design projects. I found these unique wallpapered rooms last week when I was rummaging through the Elle Decor archives and when I came across them again today, my design juices started flowin'.  I absolutely had to get them posted tonight.

Asian wallpapers are so unique. They often depict nature scenes rather than the more common patterned wall-prints.
How cool is this wallpaper? It oozes inspiration. I can just picture some old writer tearing  his favorite passages from his favorite books and saving them on the walls for later!
The small scale of the wall print creates a sense of balance with the heavy furniture and over-sized accessories.
What a great idea for a little explorer's room! This would actually be really easy to do and it's super chic.
Va-Va-Voom! Where's my bustier and red lipstick.  Peacock feathers in a bathroom are fashionable and sexy to boot.
I love everything about this room.  The wallpaper is subtle and beautiful and creates interest on the walls of this gorgeously-eclectic room.
Um, yes please! Metallic papered closet walls as an accessory for your accessories..
Whimsical words add warmth and the horizontal lines of text bring a sense of calm to the space.
Daring choices in this small bathroom came together to create an inviting and fashionable space.
